Moose are a Part of Anchorage;
If You Don't Like it, Move Away
Letters to the Editor / Anchorage Daily News / May 5, 2004
Maybe I am lost, but I thought we lived in a place where animals are still wondrous. I've been here more than 20 years and have opened my door to find moose on the doorstep or come home to find them in the driveway -- this is their home, we moved into it, so I wait until they move on. I have taught my children to be aware of their surroundings and what's in them: Leave the moose alone, stay away from them, don't get between mom and baby. I believe if people are that concerned about the moose in Anchorage (or any other part of the state) then maybe they should move someplace else.
